Case Management Services
Telephone Consultations
A consultation with one of our experienced caseworkers will give you expert help, support and suggest options on how best to handle your situation. The one hour call will explore all aspects of your case and review your circumstances to date. We will then give honest guidance you through the various legal processes and options available to you, including the potential costs involved.
There are some cases that are complex with lengthy pre-existing court proceedings. Although our caseworkers will try their best to advise within the hour, a detailed assessment and analysis of the case, including analysis of court orders, reports and documents may be necessary before we can discuss your options. If you feel that your case may fall within the category, please contact us directly before booking a consultation.
Once you have had your initial telephone consultation
We will offer a bespoke quotation for our services that are based on your unique situation. See below.

Case Management Package
One of our experienced caseworkers will review and assess your case, including court orders, reports and background documents. We will gather any further information required before discussing your options on how best to proceed and conduct regular comprehensive reviews including further telephone consultations throughout your case.
Offer you emotional support throughout what we know can be an extremely stressful process, which is why we include a dedicated weekly online support group managed by an experienced therapist, as part of our service. Access to this is completely optional and provides a support network where you can meet other fathers going through the same experience.
Our fixed-fee support package provides practical assistance, guidance and case-related support throughout your family court proceedings.
We provide support to you as a litigant in person. You remain responsible for your own case, including decisions about how your case is conducted, signing and filing documents, communicating with the court and complying with court orders and directions.
We can provide:
* Case review and strategic guidance – review your court orders, reports and relevant background documents and discuss the issues arising in your case and the options available to you.
* Telephone consultations – ongoing consultations during your case to discuss developments, correspondence, evidence, court directions and the options available to you.
* Assistance with court forms and applications – provide guidance and drafting assistance in relation to applications such as C100 and C2 forms. You remain responsible for checking, approving, signing and submitting any application to the court in your own name.
* Assistance with written documents – provide guidance and drafting assistance with statements, position statements and other documents. You remain responsible for the accuracy and content of any document submitted to the court and for signing and filing it where required.
* Assistance with correspondence – help you understand correspondence received from the other party, their representatives or the court and assist you in preparing your own responses. You remain responsible for sending correspondence in your own name.
* Preparation for Cafcass meetings – provide guidance and practical preparation to help you understand the process and communicate your position effectively.
* Review of statements and reports – review documents provided to you and discuss their contents, issues arising and matters you may wish to raise with your solicitor, barrister or the court.
* McKenzie Friend support – where permitted by the court, provide practical support at hearings, including taking notes, helping with papers and quietly providing advice to you during the hearing. You remain the litigant in person and retain responsibility for presenting your own case.
* Emotional and practical support – access to a weekly support group and, where available, peer support from someone who has experienced family court proceedings.
You remain responsible for the conduct of your case, including signing and submitting documents, communicating with the court, complying with directions and orders, and making all decisions about your case.
A McKenzie Friend does not have an automatic right to speak to the court or conduct litigation. Our role is to provide support to you, rather than to act on your behalf. The court determines what assistance is permitted at any particular hearing.
